antiemetik
Antiemetici su sredstva protiv povraćanja. Djeluju na centar za povraćanje u mozgu, na njegove živčane veze s periferijom i izravno na probavni sustav. Rabe se kod kinetoza (“morske bolesti”), Ménièreove bolesti, povraćanja u trudnoći, metaboličkih povraćanja. Djeluju i protiv vrtoglavice. Rabe se fenotijazini (klorpromazin, prometazin), antikolinergici (skopolamin, atropin), antihistaminici, sedativi. Većina tih sredstava izaziva umor i pospanost te se ne smiju uzimati neposredno prije, ili za vrijeme vožnje.
