(1) In Java programming, a class or interface.
(2) In DCE X/Open Object Management (XOM), a category into which attribute values are placed on the basis of their purpose.
(3) In object oriented programming, a fundamental data type of computer architecture, including, for example, character, string and integer.
(4) In a WSDL document, an element that contains data type definitions using some type system (such as XSD).
(5) An object that defines a data structure.
(6) A characteristic of an element that describes its data content.
(7) A description of data characteristics. The descriptions include the operations that can be performed on or by the data. See also data type.

(1) Pertaining to events that occur at run time or during processing.
(2) Pertaining to an operation that occurs at the time it is needed rather than at a predetermined or fixed time. See also static.

(1) An index in which the leftmost columns are the partitioning columns of the table. The index can be partitioned or nonpartitioned.
(2) In replication, an ordered set of one or more columns in a given table. Examples of primitive types include byte, short, int, long, float, double, char, boolean.
(2) A predefined basic data type without any substructure, such as an integer or a string.
Industry:Software
(1) Pertaining to information available to more than one program or subroutine.
(2) Pertaining to an element that is available to any process in the workspace. A global element appears in the project tree and can be used in multiple processes. Tasks, processes, repositories, and services can be either global (referenced by any process in the project) or local (specific to a single process).

(1) An index that enforces the uniqueness of a primary key.
(2) In VSAM, the set of primary keys that provide the standard path for access to the data set.

(1) An indicator that appears in the current program status word whenever an associated task has control of the system. This indicator must match the storage keys of all main storage blocks that the task is to use.
(2) A hardware key associated with each page of virtual memory that is available in POWER6 processors and is supported as of AIX Version 5.3 with the 5300-06 Technology Level. Access to pages is controlled on a per-thread basis depending on the access mode of the running thread as represented in the authority mask register (AMR). See also authority mask register.
