(1) A ticket that a principal passes to the ticket-granting server when a service ticket is requested. The ticket-granting service uses the ticket-granting ticket to verify that the principal has authenticated to the authentication server before it grants the request for the service ticket.<br />(2) A ticket that allows access to the ticket granting service on the key distribution center (KDC).
