Kunsmatige pasaangeër
Klein elektroniese toestel waarmee 'n swak of onreëlmatige hartklop in die geval van sekere hartkwale verbeter word deur die sametrekking van die hartspier op 'n kunsmatige manier te stimuleer en te reguleer. Dit gee elektriese impulse wat na die hart gestuur word, en wat gewoonlik chirurgies onder die vel ingeplant en met 'n draadjie met die hart verbind word, maar ook, gewoonlik as 'n tydelike maatreël, buite die liggaam gedra kan word. Dit funksioneer met batterye en het lang, dun draadjies wat dit na die hart verbind. Staan ook bekend as kardiale pasaangeër en pasaangeër.
