Woody Allen

Born Allen Stewart Konigsberg (December 1, 1935), an American screenwriter, director, actor, comedian, jazz musician, author, and playwright. Allen is known for his distinctive films, for his rapid rate of production and for the fact that he not only writes and directs his movies but has also has starred in many of them. He gained significant fame with the success of Annie Hall which earned him four Academy Awards, including a Best Directing Oscar. Allen is also noted as a jazz clarinetist with occasional appearances at various jazz festivals.
