meteorski pljusak Gemindi

Also known as the "Geminids," the Geminid Meteor Shower is an annual meteor shower that occurs around December 13th-14th of each year. Unlike other meteor showers, which originate from the debris of passing comets, the Geminids are the visual debris stream of an object called 3200 Phaethon, which is presumed to be an asteroid in the Pallas family.

To date, NASA can not figure out why the Geminid Meteor Shower is as bright as it is, and thus the Geminids are a unique yearly occurrence in the world of astronomy.
